Sun Mountain Lodge in Winter
The March 23-25, 2018 Winter Roundup will be held at
Sun Mountain Lodge
604 Patterson Lake Road
Winthrop, WA 98862

The beautiful Sun Mountain Lodge is just outside the rustic town of Winthrop, WA. It’s about 52 miles and a 1-hour-10-minute drive from the Walmart area in Omak. We couldn’t find a more central Okanogan Valley space that was large enough to hold our group and could do it comfortably (well-heated, with snacks allowed in the meeting rooms.) We were able to get a nice deal at the Lodge, with its large and comfortable meeting areas, great public spaces (a library, games room, hospitality room, lovely grounds)-- so we’re in the south end of Okanogan County this year.

Don't book online--call 800-572-0493 and say, “I’m with the Roundup” to book at our deeply discounted group rate of $91 (+tax =$100.19) per night. That’s for any room at the Lodge, regardless of normal price ($175+), room size, or bed configurations...and rooms can all be shared to reduce your cost. (NOTE: There are still a few rooms are left as of March 17.)

GROUP MEAL ORDERING CLOSED ON MARCH 12, but all-day dining will be available in the Lodge's Wolf Creek Bar & Grill beginning at 11:30am. (The menu is left here as a reference for those who already ordered.)
Breakfast (Saturday & Sunday)
Bacon and eggs, potatoes, orange juice. $13

Saturday Lunch
Build-your-own deli sandwich, soup, and salad. $15

Saturday Dinner
Chicken -or- Beef, salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, seasonal veggies, dinner roll, & dessert cookies. $23

Sun Mountain’s chef and kitchen will prepare our food, and can accommodate most vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-related food needs. Email Deb to arrange for special food needs. (Also contact Deb for lodging help, to volunteer at the Roundup, and to donate snacks and Silent Auction items.)

Coffee, tea, water, and snacks will be available in Sun Mountain’s Hospitality Room. Food and beverage (within reason/be tidy) are allowed pretty much everywhere at the Lodge. The resort is a smoke-free facility.

Nearby Food
Sun Mountain's Wolf Creek Bar & Grill opens at 11:30am, and there are many restaurants nearby, but no fast food. see Google list The best grocery store is Hank's Harvest Foods with a breakfast-lunch-dinner deli, at 412 E Methow Valley Hwy, Twisp 98856 (14.2 miles, 22 minutes from Roundup.) You are welcome to bring your own food and snacks, and enjoy them in Sun Mountain’s Hospitality Room and other spaces outside the catered dining areas.

Other Accommodation If you google "Winthrop, WA hotels" you’ll see our discount at Sun Mountain makes the luxurious Lodge the most economical, as well as the most convenient and nicest option.
